Becker Engineered Systems Return, Restocking Policy, & Warranty

Return Eligibility:

  • Standard items: Un-opened and unused items may be subject to RMA within 30 days of delivery.
  • Custom-Built Systems: Due to their specialized nature, custom-built or made-to-order systems are non-returnable and not eligible to be returned.

Return Conditions:

  • The product must be unused and in its original packaging with all accessories, manuals, & documentation
  • The product must be in Resalable Condition
  • The return must be requested prior to 30 days of delivery.
  • Products must be shipped for return within 14 days of being issued RMA #.

Restocking Fees:

  • A minimum of 15% Restocking Feed will apply to all eligible returned items
  • Shipping & Handling charges are not refundable

Exclusions: (The following items are not eligible for return or refund.)

  • Custom-built systems
  • Special Order items
  • Software
  • Consumables (example: Probes)
  • Items damaged due misuse, negligence, or improper installation
    • Broken due to extreme heat or freezing

Warranties:

  • Over the phone technical support and testing must be done before items are sent in for warranty
  • All items will be reviewed by BES before they are shipped to the manufacturer for warranty
  • BES follows all the warranty requirements and time periods put in place by each manufacturer

Return Process:

  • Contact BES team to obtain an RMA #
  • Repackage the item with all original materials and the RMA # on the box
  • Ship the items to the address provided on the RMA instructions.
    • Products must be shipped within 14 days of RMA being issued.

 

Limited Warranty for Custom-Made Systems

This Limited Warranty (“Warranty”) is issued by Becker Engineered Systems (“Manufacturer”) to the purchaser (“Customer”) of custom-made systems (“Product”). This Warranty is subject to the terms, conditions, limitations, and exclusions stated below.

1. Basis of Design and Fabrication

1.1 The Product is designed, engineered, and manufactured solely in accordance with the Customer-approved drawings and specifications (“Approved Drawings”).

1.2 Manufacturer shall not be responsible for any errors, omissions, deficiencies, or performance issues resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or otherwise incorrect information or drawings provided by the Customer.

2. Application and Installation Responsibility

2.1 If the Customer elects to install the Product without the Manufacturer’s presence on site, the Manufacturer shall bear no liability for field installation results, suitability of application, system performance, or integration with existing equipment or conditions.

2.2 Customer understands and agrees that Manufacturer’s liability for the installed system applies only when Manufacturer is retained to verify the application and oversee or perform the installation.

3. Damage Occurring During Installation

3.1 Manufacturer shall not be liable for any damage, loss, or defect arising from handling, installation, or field modification of the Product performed by the Customer or by any third party.

3.2 Any such damage voids this Warranty in its entirety.

4. Inspection and Installation Period

4.1 Customer is required to inspect and install the Product within ninety (90) days of receipt (“Installation Window”).

4.2 Failure to inspect or install the Product within the Installation Window automatically voids the Warranty, regardless of circumstance.

5. Warranty Period

5.1 The standard Warranty period shall commence on the date of installation and shall continue for ninety (90) days (“Warranty Period”).

5.2 If installation occurs after the Installation Window referenced in Section 4, no Warranty shall apply.

6. Application or Operational Changes

6.1 Manufacturer shall not be liable for any change in application, site conditions, system requirements, or operational parameters made after approval of the design or after delivery of the Product.

6.2 Any modification, change, or deviation from the Approved Drawings or intended application voids the Warranty.

7. Exclusions from Warranty Coverage

This Warranty does not cover and shall be voided by, without limitation:

a. Improper installation, misuse, neglect, abuse, or lack of maintenance;

b. Unauthorized alterations, adjustments, or modifications to the Product;

c. Damage caused by external forces, environmental conditions, or integration with incompatible equipment;

d. Normal wear and tear;

e. Costs associated with removal, reinstallation, field adjustments, or transportation.

8. Shipping and Freight Responsibility

8.1 Manufacturer shall not be responsible or liable for any loss, damage, or delay occurring during shipment or transportation of the Product.

8.2 Title and risk of loss shall transfer to the Customer upon shipment from Manufacturer’s facility.

8.3 Customer shall be solely responsible for purchasing and paying for shipping insurance to cover any potential freight or shipping-related damages.

8.4 Any claims for shipping damage must be filed directly by the Customer with the carrier or insurance provider.

9. Return Material Authorization (RMA) Policy

9.1 All Becker Engineered Systems Products are subject to the current Becker Engineered Systems Return Material Authorization (“RMA”) policy guidelines.

9.2 No Product may be returned to Manufacturer without a valid RMA number issued by Manufacturer.

9.3 RMA-authorized Products must be shipped to Manufacturer within (14) days of the RMA number issuance.

9.4 Any RMA not shipped within (14) days of the RMA number being issued shall be deemed invalid and void.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 Manufacturer’s sole and exclusive obligation under this Warranty shall be, at its option, repair or replacement of defective materials or workmanship.

10.2 In no event shall Manufacturer be liable for incidental, indirect, punitive, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to lost profits, downtime, labor costs, or third-party claims.

10.3 This Warranty is the exclusive warranty provided by Manufacturer and supersedes all other warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

11. Governing Law

11.1 This Warranty shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the state of Ohio, unless otherwise agreed in writing by both parties.

12. Acceptance of Terms

12.1 Customer’s receipt, installation, or use of the Product constitutes acceptance of this Limited Warranty and its terms.
